Q: How easy is it to use the VM-150?
A: Couldn't be easier - you just plug it in and it is ready to take messages.  We provide a Quick Guide that you can master in less then 60 seconds.

Q: What do the preset pre-recorded greetings say?
A: OGM (Outgoing Message) #1 says: "Your call cannot be answered at the moment.  Please leave a message after the tone."  After this greeting a caller can leave a message.  OGM #2 says: "Your call cannot be answered at the moment, please call again later."  This greeting does NOT allow messages to be left by callers.

Q: Can I personalize my outgoing greeting?
A: Yes. It is very easy; just follow the simple steps in the user manual.

Q: Is there an audio alert to new messages?
A: There is! In addition to the bright message display, the answering machine beeps every 30 seconds to let you know that there are new messages.

Q: What does the term "slow play" mean?
A: Slow play is a feature that allows you to play back messages at a slower then normal speed, so each word can be heard distinctly.

Q: How slowly?
A: You have a choice - you can play your messages at normal speed, at approximately 95% of normal speed, or at 90% of regular speed.

Q: Could I talk with the caller while he/she is leaving a message?
A: Yes, just press the "Call Intercept" key and you can talk hands-free with the caller.

Q: What happens to my answering machine if there is a power outage?
A: With (user provided) battery backup, our VM-150 answering machine is 100% operational during power outages - it keeps on taking messages while others cannot.

Q: What type of back up batteries are needed?
A: It requires 4 AAA-size rechargeable batteries which are easily available from 7-11, Radio Shack or your grocery store.

Q: How long will the backup batteries last?
A: They will give you up to 4 hours of continuous talking time.
