Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. How do I make a call from the base?
A. Press the TALK key and dial the number using the key pad. Press TALK again to end the call.
Q. How do I answer a call from the base?
A. To pick up a call without using the handset, press the TALK button on the base. To hang up just press the TALK button again.
Q. How do I program a phone number into the photo memory key?
A. While off line, enter the phone number on the key pad. Press and hold the MEMORY key temporarily, then press any key (1 to 0) where you wish to store the number. You will hear a “du du” sound as a confirmation.
Q: I cannot program phone numbers into any CL-60P
photo-memory button. What is wrong?
A. If you "press and hold" the
photo-memory button too long while programming, it won’t work. You only need to
give it a quick press and then let go. Do not "press and hold" this
button longer than a second!
Q. How do I put a picture into the photo memory key?
A. The photo memory keys accommodate a photo of approximately 1″ square for easy viewing. We offer a cutting guide template to aid you in cutting out photos. To insert a photo into a photo memory key just lift up the hinged photo memory key cover and place the photo inside. Then push the cover back down. It’s that simple.
Q. How do I make a call using the photo memory on the base?
A. Just press the MEMORY key, then press the desired photo memory button. The CL-60P will go on-line and dial out. Press TALK to end the call.
Q. What happens to my phone when there is a power outage?
A. With battery (user provided) backup, our CL-60P handset and the base are 100% operational during power outages. So, the CL-60P gives you peace of mind. On almost all cordless phones made by other manufacturers, your phone will go dead when there is a power outage.
Q. What type of back up batteries are needed?
A. You must use rechargeable batteries; it requires 4 AAA size rechargeable batteries and they are readily available from 7/11, Radio Shack or your grocery stores.
Q. What else can I use these back up batteries for?
A. These back up batteries can be used in your cordless handset. So, in the event that you’ve drained your handset, you can interchange the batteries with those in the base and start talking right away. This is another advantage that is not offered by other brands.
Q. How long will the back up batteries last?
A. They will give you up to 4 hours of continuous talk time.
Q. Are extra handsets available? If so, how many?
A. Yes. The system supports up to 5 handsets, total, and they are available below.
